The sphere of the fixed ball valve is fixed by two valve stems-the upper and the lower which through liquid pressure can keep the sphere from moving toward the seat and the seat from deforming by overpressure when it works. The self-lubricating bearing set on the stem part reduces frication and switch torque, and both of the seat valves are tightened by spring. It is sealed by PTFE embedded into the steel ring with a spring at its rear end, which can make sure the valve seat cling tightly to the sphere. When middle cavity pressure in the valve exceeds the spring tension abnormally, the valve seat will back off and separate from sphere to get the effect of automatic pressure release and the valve seat will automatically reset after being pressed. The advanced structure brings the fixed ball valve with stable sealing performance, labor-saving operation and durable service life and is especially applicable for long conveying pipeline and general pipeline.
Structure, Function and Characteristics
Full bore design
According to the customer's demand, the full bore or the reduced bore valve can be provided. The full bore valve has the diameter of channel completely equal to the inner diameter of pipe to reduce eddy current and facilitate pipe cleaning.
Block& drainage function
Fixed ball valve is tightened by spring, with the seat sealed with double pistons. It adopts piston principle for sealing. Upstream and downstream seats make fluid stop. The emptying valve installed in the middle cavity is used to empty and the blow-down valve installed at the bottom of the valve to clear off dirt to facilitate pipe cleaning.
Fireproof structure
In case there is a fire accident or abnormal temperature rise which may cause softening and burning of PTFE, the fireproof sealing face of the valve supporting ring will contact with the sphere and achieve sealing effect. This complies with the standard of API607 and API16FA.
